Have We Allowed Evil to Flourish?

Have We Allowed Evil to Flourish?

Evil. It's a word many shy away from, dismissing it as archaic or dramatic. But evil is real. It’s not just the stuff of horror movies or the pages of ancient scripture. Evil, in its purest form, is the intentional harming of the innocent. And when we begin to understand that, it forces us to take a hard look at our modern world—and ourselves.

As a follower of Christ, I believe that He came not only to teach us to love, but also to shine a piercing light on what had become corrupted. In Matthew 10:34, Jesus says something that shocks many: "Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword." That sword was—and is—the sword of truth, of divine justice, of awakening.

And so I have to ask: Have we allowed evil to flourish under the comfort of complacency?

The Complacency of the Comfortable

Western society, for all its advancement, has fostered a culture of distraction. Most of us live relatively comfortable lives—food on the table, access to endless entertainment, social media platforms to validate our existence. But in that comfort, many have lost their urgency to confront what is hidden in plain sight.

Human trafficking, especially of children and young adults, is one of the greatest evils of our time. It happens not just in faraway countries but in our own neighborhoods. Yet how often do we truly stop and face this horror? It’s easier to bury our heads in the sand, to label it a “conspiracy” or tell ourselves it’s too dark to dwell on.

But what’s darker? Facing it—or continuing to let it happen while we scroll past it on Instagram?

Poison in the Name of Progress

Let’s talk about the food we give our children. So much of what fills grocery store shelves today is saturated with artificial dyes, high fructose corn syrup, and chemicals we can’t even pronounce. These substances are knowingly harmful, contributing to hyperactivity, allergies, obesity, and early-onset illnesses in children. And yet, they are marketed with cartoons and fun packaging, targeting the very young souls we should be protecting.

Then there’s the pharmaceutical machine.

We’re told that there’s a pill for everything—from anxiety to ADHD to simple childhood restlessness. What we're not told is how these drugs can alter brain chemistry, hinder emotional development, and create dependency. The cycle often looks like this: a child eats toxic food, becomes ill or behaviorally challenged, and is then medicated with synthetic pharmaceuticals.

It’s a self-perpetuating system. And who profits? Big Ag and Big Pharma—an unholy alliance that feeds off our children’s vulnerability.

The False God of Popularity

Social media, while offering connection, has also warped our children’s sense of worth. We now live in a culture where likes, shares, and views equate to value. Young people are pressured to look a certain way, act a certain way, even sexualize themselves—for validation.

When we applaud this culture, or passively accept it, we’re turning a blind eye to how it harms the spirit. We’re watching innocence dissolve under the banner of popularity—and we say nothing.

Mainstream Media: The Hypnosis Machine

We must also take a hard look at the mainstream media—a tool that has become a hypnosis machine, dulling our senses, reprogramming our minds through repetition, symbolism, and fear. Its purpose is no longer to inform, but to manipulate. Repeated images, slogans, and narratives are carefully crafted to implant belief systems and discourage critical thought.

Likewise, the education system, in many cases, is not cultivating truth or free thought—it is pushing carefully curated ideologies. Parents: please do the research. Ask yourself who is funding the curriculum, who is influencing the policies, and what values are truly being taught. If something is being force-fed to you and your children from multiple directions—TV, schools, celebrities, ads—it is worth examining why.

Poison from the Skies and in Our Water

Beyond food and media, we must confront the environmental toxins infiltrating our daily lives. Geoengineering or what was once called chem-trails, particularly 'solar radiation' management, involves dispersing reflective particles into the atmosphere to alter climate patterns. It no longer takes a conspiracy theorist to notice the unnatural white trails left by airplanes, forming cloud-like patterns that crisscross and cover the sky. Even though Bill Gates and the like advocate for its potential to combat climate change, continued concerns about negative and perilous health consequences, not to mention a lack of consent have finally led to legislative actions. As of this month, April 2025, lawmakers in at least 25 U.S. states have introduced bills to ban such practices, reflecting growing public concern about weaponized weather manipulation.

Simultaneously, our tap water is under scrutiny. Fluoride, long added to water supplies to prevent tooth decay, is now being re-evaluated. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has initiated efforts to halt the CDC's recommendation of water fluoridation, citing potential health risks. Utah recently became the first state to ban water fluoridation, highlighting a shift in public health policy and awareness.

These developments underscore the importance of vigilance regarding what we ingest and are exposed to in our environment.

As Within, So Without

From a metaphysical perspective, our external world is a reflection of our internal state—a mirror of the collective and individual soul. What we do not heal within us has a way of manifesting outside of us, in both subtle and glaring ways. The pain we bury, the trauma we ignore, and the spiritual wounds we leave unattended—they don’t just disappear. They gather energy, gaining momentum in the unseen realms until they erupt into our physical reality.

Could it be that the hidden darkness we see being uncovered in the world—the exploitation of the innocent, the glorification of violence and sex, the intentional poisoning of our bodies and minds, the manipulation through fear—is a direct reflection of the unhealed wounds within humanity?

Have you ever felt like you've been sabotaging yourself? I know I have.

When we ignore our inner work, we unknowingly feed the very systems that perpetuate suffering. Our shadow—both individual and collective—seeks expression. If we do not consciously acknowledge and integrate it, it will leak into the world, influencing everything from our relationships to societal norms.

The modern obsession with graphic content, sensationalized violence, and hyper-sexualized imagery is not merely entertainment. It’s a symptom of a deeper sickness, one that thrives when the soul is disconnected, numbed, or traumatized.

Christ showed us another way. He invited us to look within—to examine our hearts, to purify our minds, to walk in truth and love. Not as a passive escape, but as an active path of transformation. When we commit to healing ourselves, we participate in healing the world. As we illuminate our own inner shadows, we diminish the power of darkness on the outside.

So yes, to change the world, we must start within. Peaceful warriors of the Christ light must also be inner alchemists, turning pain into wisdom, and fear into love.

What Else Can We Do?

Trust me, I understand—it can be overwhelming. However, the solution isn't to withdraw in fear or complacency; it's to elevate through awareness, action, and divine alignment.

  • Become aware. Open your eyes to what’s happening in your community, in your child’s school, in the media they consume.

  • Question everything. Don’t blindly accept what is being pushed upon you. Research, discern, and trust your spiritual instincts/intuition.

  • Speak up. Share truth, even when it’s uncomfortable. Light shines brightest in darkness.

  • Reconnect with the Christ Light. Yeshua didn’t come to keep the peace—He came to challenge the status quo. We are called to do the same, with love, yes—but also with conviction and courage.

  • Nurture the temple. Feed your body and your family with nourishing, clean foods. Question the need for every prescription. Seek and study natural, holistic healing when possible.

  • Be a peaceful warrior. You don’t need a pulpit to make a difference. Every act of love, every word of truth, every moment of aligned action—it all matters.

Let's not be the ones who looked away. Let's be the ones that said, "No more." Evil thrives in silence and ignorance—but it flees from light and truth.

And we were born to be bearers of both.
